Hello, I’m Jami Markovsky-Gonzalez, and I am a counseling intern at High Point Counseling. Originally from Buffalo, Wyoming, I have lived in multiple states, but have called Sweetwater County my home since 2013. Over the past 10 years, I have been an educator in Sweetwater County but decided to pursue a degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling in 2021. When I am not working or doing school work, I enjoy reading, baking, gardening, fishing, hiking, and spending time with my family and friends.
During my time teaching in this community, I learned many things, but nothing stands out as much as the importance of listening, building relationships, and being present with others in the face of hardship. As such, my vision for counseling is to create a compassionate, safe, and empowering space where individuals can explore their thoughts, feelings, and challenges without fear of judgment. I aim to guide and support clients as they discover their inner strengths, heal from past wounds, and develop the tools they need to navigate life’s complexities. By fostering a collaborative and client-centered approach, my vision is to inspire hope, facilitate growth, and help individuals achieve a sense of balance, well-being, and personal fulfillment. I believe that every person has the potential to thrive, and through empathy, respect, and understanding, I strive to support them in realizing their fullest potential.
